4. FIRST-AID MEASURES
Exposure Route
Inhalation: Irritating, narcotic. Can affect CNS.
Move to fresh air. In case of discomfort, seek medical attention.
Skin Contact: Irritating, risk of dermatitis. May be absorbed.
Use hand cleaner/soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. If any discomfort persists, seek medical attention.
Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, keeping the eyelids open. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
Ingestion: Irritating and nauseating.
Give plenty of water/milk. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
Seek medical attention.
Notes to Attending Physician: Treat symptomatically.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing Media: Foam, CO2 dry powder. Fog to cool and control.
DO NO USE WATER JETS.
Specific hazards: All aerosols are pressurised products and will eventually burst if exposed to very high temperatures, or if involved in a fire. They will then release the propellant gas, which is extremely flammable (butane). Can form explosive vapour/air mixture. Static discharge hazard.
Protection of firefighters: Self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing should be worn.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
See also Sections 8 and 13.
Personal Precautions: Keep area well ventilated. Remove sources of ignition.
Environmental Precautions: KEEP OUT OF DRAINS AND SEWERS.
Damaged or leaking aerosols should be removed immediately from their present location and stored separately in a safe place away from sources of ignition, preferably in the open. If a large quantity of aerosols are involved the manufacturer should be contacted in order to agree a safe method of disposal.
Methods for Cleaning Up: Minor Spillage: Mop up spill. Wash residues away with water and detergent.
Major Spillage: Contain and collect spilt product using a suitable adsorbent material such as vermiculite. Shovel material into a clean, dry, labelled container and close lid. Consult your local waste authority for advice on disposal.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling
Technical Measures: Always use in well-ventilated areas.
Precautions: Pressurised container – Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 °C. Do not pierce or burn even after use. Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking. The container should not be used in confined spaces, particularly where it is likely that an ignition source will be present.
Safe Handling Advice: As the propellant and concentrate are both flammable and can have narcotic and CNS effects, build-up of dangerous concentrations of the propellant is possible. Follow all label safety warnings even after container is empty.
Storage
Technical Measures: Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames.
Storage Conditions: Ambient temperature. Avoid temperatures above 49 °C. Store in a cool well-ventilated place. Protect from direct sunlight.
Incompatible Products: Oxidizing agents, acids and bases.
Packaging Materials: Tinplate aerosol container and valve.
